Memory verse:
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” – Mat. 22:36-40.
Serving God is one thing that has been grossly misunderstood in Christendom and the world generally Jer. 23:33-34. The devil is behind this misconception, and his mission is to rob believers of the great life ordained for them 2Cor. 11:3. The truth is that serving God is not for God’s benefit, nor is it helping the church and the pastor. God remains the I AM THAT I AM, whether we choose to serve Him or not Exo. 3:14; Mal. 3:6. Serving God is purely to the benefit of the one engaging in the service Exo. 23:25-26.
The Benefits of Serving God that Proves Believers are the Beneficiary.
- Serving God Guarantees Supernatural Breakthrough.
Service in God’s kingdom invokes the power of God, resulting in clearing off all obstacles, which we refer to as breakthroughs Lk. 5:1-8. God does not need breakthroughs; it is believers that do. Hence, serving God is for the believer’s benefit.
- Serving God Guarantees the Meeting of All Our Needs.
Service identifies a believer as useful and resourceful in God’s kingdom Mat. 21:28-31. This entitles a believer to the supply of all his needs to make him fit for more service Jn. 15:1-2. Those needs include what money cannot buy 2Chr. 15:12-15; Exo. 23:25-26.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, empower me by your Spirit to engage in the pursuit of souls at the prayer altar and to go into the field like never before throughout this season of Operation Run Zch. 4:6-7.
Action.
Set targets for yourself for the ongoing Operation Run.
Priestly Blessings.
Be baptized with the Spirit of God for new level of pursuit of souls!
You shall draw souls to Christ and church this week like never before!
