Memory verse:
“And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. 13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. 14 And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.” – Acts 12:12-15.
We serve a God who hears and answers prayers; He does not store prayers Mat. 21:22; Mk. 11:24. This is not the reality for many; they seem to have little or nothing to show for their prayers. This is because it is our responsibility to know when our prayers are answered so that we can take delivery of the answer. Ignorance of when prayers are answered puts believers at the risk of losing the answer to the enemy, the thief Jn. 10:10.
Basic Demands to Know When Our Prayers Are Answered.
- Understand that Prayer is a Two-Way Communication Channel.
Knowing that prayer is a two-way communication channel will make a believer to have moments in their prayer time where they wait and listen for a response from God Jer. 33:3; Mat. 7:7-8.
- The Example of Abraham.
Every time Abraham spoke to God, he paused to listen for a response from God Gen. 18:18-33. God’s response is the answer to our prayers Jer. 33:3.
- Be Diligent to Hearken to God’s Voice.
We are not only to listen for a response; we must be determined to do what God says Deu. 28:1; Acts 27:25. This is vital to stir God to respond to our requests.
Jesus is Lord!
