Memory verse:     

“And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. ²⁹ And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.”                     – Lk. 9:28-29.

Prayer is not just a religious activity or rite; it is a platform that presents the opportunity to appear before God for dialogue and interaction Heb. 4:16. Every time an individual meets with God, there is bound to be change in him 2Cor. 3:18. This change within results in transformations in the situation and story of the person Mat. 23:25-26. Everyone who desires a change of story from the ongoing prayer and fasting must expect a change in his personality first.

Scriptural Example of An Individual with Amazing Testimony from a Prayer Life.

1. Paul, the Apostle.

Paul was formerly called Saul of Tarsus; he was a hater of the church, killing believers. He called himself the chief sinner 1Tim. 1:15; 1Cor. 15:9. He had an encounter with Christ, and became sold out to God immediately Acts 9:1-6; Gal. 2:20. Particularly, he gave himself absolutely to the altar of prayer and fasting, becoming an addicted intercessor 1Ths. 5:17; Php. 4:6; Gal. 4:19; 2Cor. 11:27. First was his internal change from Saul to Paul, then he exhibited a life that dominated death practically Php. 1:21-25; 1Cor. 15:54-55.
