Memory verse:
“And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.”
“Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?”
“And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.” – Jer. 23:34-36.
The greatest honor a person can have on the earth is opportunity of kingdom stewardship. We must understand that salvation is being born of God, while stewardship is being bond to God Jn. 8:29. Being born makes one to become entitled to the blessings available, but being bond, which is what we call stewardship, makes one a partaker of the blessing Exo. 23:25-26. When it is stewardship, it must be done willingly to attract rewards 2Cor. 8:12; Isa. 1:19. When stewardship done by coercion is unprofitable 2Cor. 9:6-7.
Covenant Understanding that Delivers from Serving as a Burden.
- Understand the Secret of this Commission’s Greatness.
Every ministry has its strength, which is the secret for the glory and greatness. Our strength as a commission is seeking first the kingdom of God Mat. 6:33; Jdg. 6:14.
- Understand the Covenant Rule that Guides Kingdom Life.
The rule is “Narrow is the way and strait is the gate that leads to life, and few there be that finds it” Mat. 7:13-15. It is not enough to be a steward; ensure you find and walk in the narrow way and strait gate to partake of rewards Pro. 24:13-14.
- Serving God is Absolutely for our Benefit.
When we serve God, it is not God, the church, the pastor that benefit from it. Serving God is absolutely to the believers benefit Mat. 6:32-33.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, endow me with the grace to keep serving you willing, excitedly, seeing it as a privilege till my time on earth is over 1Cor. 15:10.
Action.
Appraise the essence and motive for your kingdom service.
Priestly Blessings.
Receive a new heart that pants after seeking the kingdom first!
Your service for God shall be most profitable from today!
