Memory verse:
“And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?”
“It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:”
“But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.” – Mk. 4:30-32.
Scriptures make us to understand that every child of God is ordained a mountain-top personality Mat. 5:13-16. This means he has what it takes to become an individual of global impact. The question is, why do we have many believers struggling through life? It is simply because there is the covenant demand to rise as giant. We have identified from scripture that dedication to God and His kingdom is the demand Mk. 4:30-32.
Scriptural Example of Dedication-made Giant.
- The Example of Nehemiah.
Nehemiah was one person who exhibited strange order of dedication to God and His kingdom. These are some of the ways he exemplified this:
- Nehemiah made the choice to forfeit the comfort and pleasure of the palace to return to Jerusalem, a deserted land 2:1-9.
- Nehemiah was passionate towards seeing the dignity of Jerusalem restored 1:1-10; 2:2-3.
- Nehemiah got dedicated to the task of rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem, which was at a great cost on his life 4:17-21; 6:15.
Nehemiah, a ‘cup bearer’ ended up as the governor of Judah Neh. 5:14.
