Memory verse:

“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves..”                                        – Mk. 11:17.

Responsibility is said to be the price for greatness; this means demands that one must embrace to fulfill purpose and deliver expected result. This is what prayer is to believers; a core responsibility for fulfilled life Lk. 18:1,7-8; 1Ths. 5:17. This is because believers are God’s building, and the house of God is ordained a house of prayer 1Cor. 3:9,16; Mk. 11:17. Therefore, every believer that will make the most of life must give himself to prayer as a lifestyle.

Scriptural Example of Giants made through the Lifestyle of Prayer.

  1. David.

David was the king of Israel, the greatest nation of his days 2Sam. 5:3-5. Despite being a king, Davd was still reckoned with as a servant of God Psa. 89:20-24. This was principally by his life of prayer; he prays three times a day Psa. 55:17.

What Are We to Pray?

  1. For the Needs of Church Members.

When we pray for church members needs, we make God to turn their challenges into testimonies, thereby establishing them in the faith and church Php. 1:19; Gal. 6:2. We must therefore continue to pray for members, with the aim of having their needs met. The interesting thing is that what we pray for others, God makes happen for us Eph. 6:8; Job 42:10.

Please understand that our God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek (serve) Him Heb. 11:6. This means as we labor in prayer, God is committed to reward us.
